So many things happening, so little time! Carroll County venues are buzzing with opportunities for you and yours. You can even fill up your social calendar with unique breakfast, lunch and dinner ideas! Check out the weekend’s forecast:

BREAKFAST
Kick off the weekend with a Whopping Big Breakfast in Dellroy! Breakfast will be served in the Dellroy Community Building from 7 to 11 a.m. by donation. Village garage and yard sales will be held all day. Proceeds support local community projects and scholarships. Breakfast is hosted by the Dellroy Lodge & 706 Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

LUNCH
Enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of Carroll County’s diverse dining options! From fine dining to casual patio and pub fair, there’s something for everyone — including dynamite take-out. Click here for a list of restaurants!

Vineyards at Twigg Winery, Mechanicstown, Ohio

DINNER
Pack a picnic basket and lawn chair! Enjoy live music at Twigg Winery on Saturday from 7-10 p.m. The Triple Play Band will perform favorite tunes while the sun sets and visitors lounge on the lawn. Grills will be hot if you want to grill your own steak, burger or other entree. Family atmosphere. No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted. For more information, visit TwiggWinery online.

Carroll County Fair, Carrollton, Ohio

Shhh! Hear that? It’s the sound of kids squealing on mechanical rides, crowds cheering in the grandstand, carnival music playing near the lemon shake-ups, and eager 4-Hers set to usher cows, horses, pigs, sheep, goats and much more into the show ring. The Carroll County Fair is July 19-24.

  • Racing fans will enjoy Tuesday’s Pari-Mutual Harness Racing. More than 400 entries are expected to participate. Colts races begin at noon and fillies at 5 p.m. Grab a lemon shake-up and maybe some fair fries, then settle in for an afternoon and evening of equine excitement!
  • ATV races will be held on Wednesday, July 20. Youth races begin at 7 p.m., followed by adult classes.
  • Thursday, Friday and Saturday Nights will be rumbling with the sounds of strained engines. Local tractor pulls run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 21, and Open to the World Antique and Stock Tractor and Truck Pulls will begin at 7 p.m. OSTPA pulls will be held Friday at 7 p.m. Saturday night features Full Pull Productions Truck and Tractor Pulls beginning at 7 p.m.
  • Sunday features Mod Rod Pulls beginning at 9 a.m., and a Combine Derby at 2 p.m. The infamous Carroll County Demolition Derby begins at 6 p.m.

    Will there be any car shows, cruise in’s in Carroll County in 2016? If so, where at, what dates and times?

      Thanks for inquiring. Carroll County will host several car shows this year. Trinity Lutheran Church in Carrollton will host its fifth annual car show Sunday, Aug. 14, noon-4 p.m. St. John’s Villa car and craft show is Saturday, Aug. 27, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The Scio Festival hosts a car show that starts noon on Aug. 13. On Sept. 10, Malvern’s Dancing on the Bridge car show begins with registration at 8 a.m and runs through 4 p.m. The Minerva Stockers & Streeters will host its On the Bricks car show Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24-25, starting at noon. On Sunday, Oct. 2, a car show will be held 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Atwood Lake Fall Festival. For more details, see carrollcountyohio.com, events calendar.
